Deposits & Payments
Track deposits and payment status for your appointments.
-
This badge appears on appointments where:
- The appointment has a total cost set
- No deposit has been recorded yet
This helps you identify appointments where you should follow up with the client about payment before their session.
Why this matters: Many tattoo artists require deposits to secure appointments, protect against no-shows, and cover design time.
-
- Open the appointment by clicking on it in the calendar
- Look for the Deposits section or Record Deposit button
- Click to add a new deposit
- Fill in the details:
- Amount – How much was paid
- Payment Method – Stripe, Cash, Bank Transfer, Card, or Other
- Notes (optional) – Any relevant details
- Click Save or Record Deposit
Deposit statuses:
- Pending – Payment initiated but not confirmed
- Paid – Payment received
- Refunded – Money returned to client
- Failed – Payment attempt unsuccessful
The appointment will show the deposit status and remaining balance (total cost minus deposits paid).
